We are looking for a mechanical engineer intern. The intern would work on new product development. The day to day job is broad, ranging from product research, user experience, industrial design, CAD modelling, rapid prototyping to assisting in manufacturing. Collaborating and working in tandem with other engineers is an integral part of the job.
The job would be full time based out of Hyderabad. We would expect the candidate to move to Hyderabad and would provide assistance in relocation. We would also prefer candidates who are in their final semesters and have liberty to work as an intern.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and develop sleek and modern mechanical enclosures for medical devices
2. Rapid prototyping and reiterations of designs
3. Collaborate with the electronics engineer for product fit and assembly
4. Designing moulds for scaling manufacturing
5. Finalise materials and manufacturing technologies of the various parts
6. Create beautiful renders of the designs for presentations
Requirements:
1. Background in mechanical engineering
2. Students in their final semesters are welcome to apply. Previous experience in similar roles is a plus
3. Must have a strong knowledge of CAD
4. Must have knowledge of design for manufacturing and design for assembly
5. Must have hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing techniques
6. Must have knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials, colours and finish
7. Must have knowledge of product rendering
8. Must demonstrate an ability to coordinate and collaborate with a team of motivated individuals towards improving Indian healthcare space
